Interpol NCB Podgorica officials successfully extradited two individuals who were apprehended under international warrants at the Podgorica Airport border crossing.

ES (48), an Albanian national, was extradited from Montenegro to Italy based on a ruling from the Higher Court in Podgorica. He will be serving a sentence of six years and six months as a result of a verdict issued by the Basic Court in Macerata for crimes related to criminal association and drug trafficking.

He was sentenced for his involvement in organizing drug possession and distribution in the Montecassiano area of Italy, where 255 doses of cocaine were discovered in his possession back in December 2015.

Additionally, SC (35), a Turkish citizen, was extradited from Montenegro to Turkey following a decision made by the Higher Court in Podgorica. He will serve a prison term of nine years and seven months due to a verdict from the Third Executive Court in Bursa for the offense of fraud.
