We Stay Committed to Our Political Direction Aligned with the European Path.
The future decisions regarding the Bosniak Party (BS) will be determined solely by the rightful representatives of the Bosniak community, rather than by political entities that have been attempting for years to pass the census, as announced by the party.
This statement comes in response to the European Union’s request for the Bosniak Party to dissolve its coalition with Andrija Mandić, leader of New Serbian Democracy, and to reconsider its ties with political factions perceived by many Bosniaks as humiliating and threatening at the upcoming congress.
The BS asserted that it remains true to its political direction, which prioritizes Montenegro’s European integration and the safeguarding of the Bosniak people’s interests.
“Our party’s decisions are made through democratic processes by bodies elected by our members and delegates, rather than through statements, political pressure, or media manipulation,” stated the BS.
They emphasized their recognition of the European Union as a partner in the journey towards Montenegro’s European aspirations, inviting them to the BS Congress as guests.
“Nonetheless, decisions regarding the Bosniak Party’s future will be made exclusively by the legitimate representatives of the Bosniak people, not by political groups that have long struggled to achieve a census,” the BS reiterated.
The party added that Bosniaks are aware of the true intentions of certain political factions that outwardly promote civic values but are only interested in capturing Bosniak votes, asserting that such times are now behind them.
“Thus, we advise the European Union to concentrate on its own organization and engagement with its voters. Luckily, there are those who care for the Bosniaks. We know our path. See you in the EU,” concluded the BS.
