Božović and Kaluđerović Distance Themselves from Mirna Nikčević’s Appointment to the Consumer Protection Council
In light of Mirna Nikčević’s appointment to the Consumer Protection Council, we, as SNP deputies and members of the parliamentary majority, wish to make it clear that we do not support this decision made by the Government of Montenegro.
“We believe that individuals who have previously displayed public religious intolerance towards any community should not be chosen for roles that involve public trust and accountability to all citizens,” stated Socialist People’s Party (SNP) MPs Bogdan Božović and Slađana Kaluđerović in a joint declaration.
“While we support individuals having employment regardless of their political views, it is crucial that appointment criteria are founded on expertise, integrity, and adherence to society’s core values. This decision rests solely with the Government, and as a party that values tolerance, we distance ourselves from appointments that convey a misleading message to the public,” the declaration emphasized.
