In Romania, the Montenegrin water polo team will compete in group B alongside Greece and Serbia.

Group A consists of France, Spain, and Hungary, while Romania, Japan, and the United States are in group C. Croatia and Georgia are placed in group D, following Italy’s suspension and Australia’s withdrawal from the tournament.

The group winners will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while the second- and third-placed teams will compete for positions among the top eight.

Six teams finishing first in this tournament, along with two from the B division, will earn spots in the Super Final of the World Cup, scheduled for April 2025.

The top three teams at the Super Final will qualify for the World Cup, which will take place in Singapore from July 11 to August 3, 2025.
