Milena Raičević will join Rapid Bucharest, marking the third club in her professional career.
Today, after parting ways with Buducnost Bemax, Milena accepted a proposal from the Romanian club and signed a contract that extends until the end of June 2026, as announced by the “MR Sports Management” Agency.
The former long-time captain of Buducnost may have the opportunity to compete in the Champions League this season if Rapid qualifies for the knockout stage.
The club boasts three prestigious European titles in its collection (the Champions League from 1964, the Europa League from 1993, and the European Cup from 2000) and is currently tied for sixth place in Group B with Vipers, Crimea, and FTC, occupying the sixth position that leads to the playoffs.
Besides her stint at Buducnost, the middle back player also had a brief period at the Turkish team Kastamonu.
Earlier this November, Buducnost Bemax’s management sent Milena Raičević to the Rudar branch after she raised a lawsuit against the club concerning unpaid wages from the 2020/21 season during her pregnancy.
Earlier today, the Podgorica club announced that the former captain had approached them with a request for mutual contract termination in light of her move to another club. Buducnost agreed to the farewell, and it is now confirmed where Milena will take her career next.
