The inaugural season in Italy was highlighted by his debuts in both the Champions League and Serie A, showcasing remarkable performances and stunning goals for the youthful squad. It seems the moment has arrived for significant opportunities in the Juventus senior team.
Vasilije Adžić made a strong case for a starting position with the Montenegrin national team after his debut, with Italian media suggesting it’s time for him to be granted a genuine opportunity in the first team of the Piedmont giants.
“Adžić sent a clear signal to Igor Tudor (Bianconeri coach) with a goal on his national team debut,” noted Turin’s “Tutosport”.
The talented Montenegrin will not lead the youth team during their historic European Championship appearance this June, as he will be heading to the Club World Cup with Juventus.
“This is a message ahead of the Club World Cup—after scoring his first senior national team goal, Adžić is eager to showcase his talent with Juventus. What better stage than the prestigious tournament starting soon in the United States?”, Tutosport remarked.
The Italian outlet highlighted how the midfielder from Turin “took advantage” of his first opportunity with the national team in a commendable manner.
“The Juventus starlet made his debut and scored right away. Coach Robert Prosinecki selected him for the Montenegrin roster for the World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic, as well as a friendly against Armenia. Although he spent the previous match against the Czechs on the bench, Adžić started against Armenia—and made an immediate impact,” the publication stated.
Juventus will kick off the World Cup in nine days against Al-Ain in Washington, with upcoming group matches against Wydad in Philadelphia and formidable opponents Manchester City in Orlando.
The French are also taking notice of Bulatović
In addition to Adžić, the night in Nikšić was highlighted by another rising star in Montenegrin football, Andrija Bulatović.
The player who will be joining the French club Lens this summer also scored on his debut and signaled a promising career ahead in the national colors.
“Bulatović dazzled in his first match for Montenegro at just 18 years old,” reported Lensois, a publication focused on club events in northern France.
The same outlet noted Bulatović’s rapid ascent, reflecting on his journey from playing for the youth and junior teams to eventually earning a place in the senior squad last season.
