Trade Deadline Update: Nurkic and Micic Included in Phoenix-Charlotte Deal

Serbian basketball player Vasilije Micić has switched from Charlotte to Phoenix, while Bosnian player Jusuf Nurkić has headed in the opposite direction.
In the deal between Charlotte and Phoenix, Phoenix not only acquired Micić but also received Cody Martin in exchange for Nurkić, along with the rights to a second-round pick in the 2026 draft.
Micić kicked off his NBA career in 2023 after signing with Oklahoma. He was originally drafted by Philadelphia in 2014 as the 52nd overall pick.
This season, he has averaged 7.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
Micić’s professional journey began with Mega and included stints at Bayern Munich, Red Star, Tofas, Zalgiris, Efes, and Oklahoma City.
With the Serbian national team, he earned a silver medal at the 2017 European Championships and a bronze at the 2024 Olympic Games.
