Water Polo Team Faces Another Setback, Competes for Seventh Place

The Montenegro U20 water polo team is set to compete for seventh place at the World Championship.

After their quarter-final defeat by the United States yesterday, the young squad faced Italy and narrowly lost 13:12 in the playoff for 5th to 8th position.

The final opponent for Petr Radanović’s team will be Croatia, scheduled for Saturday at 14:00.

In today’s match, Italy initially led with a score of 5:1, but Montenegro rallied to take a 6:5 lead (even reaching 7:6) with Lazar Vukićević scoring just two seconds before the final whistle for Italy’s victory.

Notably, Jovan Vujović missed the only penalty during the first series.
