The Board of Directors of the Handball Association of Montenegro has announced the distinguished players for 2023: Ivona Pavićević, Tatjana Brnović, Filip Krivokapić, and Miloš Vujović.
Ivona Pavićević, a winger for Buducnost Bemax, has been named the top player in Montenegro.
“She was a standout performer for Buducnost Bemax in the EHF Champions League and delivered impressive performances in the national team during the World Cup,” stated RSCG.
Filip Krivokapić from Lovcen has been recognized as the best player in the country.
“He shone brightly as one of the best players for Lovcen in both the SBBet First Montenegrin League and the EHF European League.”
Tatjana Brnović, representing Crimea and regarded as one of the finest handball players globally, has been selected as the best Montenegrin player competing abroad.
“She was one of the key players for Crimea in the EHF Champions League and had remarkable performances while donning the national team jersey during the World Cup,” the RSCG announcement elaborated.
Miloš Vujović, hailing from Cetinje and currently playing for German side Gumerzbach, has been acknowledged as the best player abroad.
“This year, he secured a trophy in the EHF European League with Fuhse Berlin and is showcasing outstanding performances this season with Gumerzbach, also shining as one of the best players for the national team at the World Cup.”
Additionally, RSCG recognized excellence in the younger categories.
Nina Ramusović from ORK Rudar has been named the best young player in Montenegro, while Ilija Rafailović from Budvanska Rivijera Budva was honored as the best young talent.
“Nina has been a member of ORK Rudar since this season, competing in the EHF European Cup. She is part of the national team that achieved seventh place at the European Championship for girls under 17 years in Podgorica. Ilija performed admirably in the Budvanska Rivijera jersey during the Cadet League, finishing as the top scorer of the competition,” concluded the RSCG.
