We Must Give Our All in the Game

The World Cup qualifiers are set to continue tonight, featuring matches in Groups G, H, and K.

One of the standout matches is in Tirana, where Albania will take on Serbia at 20:45 PM in a high-stakes duel.

This marks Serbia’s debut in the World Cup qualifiers, having previously participated in the Nations League in March. Albania faced England first, suffering a 2:0 defeat, but rebounded with a 3:0 victory over Andorra.

These two teams met twice during the Euro 2016 qualifiers, with a memorable incident in Belgrade involving a drone that led to an interruption. Serbia initially received the victory from the match, but had points deducted. In the second encounter in Elbasan, Serbia secured a 2:0 win.

“This is an incredibly important match for both sides, but ultimately just another game. They are our football friends, and we are co-hosting the European Youth Championship. We approach this match purely from a sporting angle, aiming to see who comes out on top. I’m confident we will receive excellent hospitality. I believe nothing unexpected will occur to surprise us. From my experience, I know we will be welcomed well, just as they will be when they play in Serbia for the return leg,” commented Serbia’s coach Dragan Stojković Piksi.

Stojković emphasized that Serbia’s focus is solely on the match.

“We do not make calculations, at least I don’t. We are here in Tirana to claim the points we deserve, and we aim for a win, not a draw. We’ll do everything necessary to secure victory,” stated Stojković.

Albania’s coach Silvino is aware of the challenges ahead.

“We face a crucial match against a physically strong opponent. Every player needs to be prepared. Our primary goal is to concentrate on Serbia. Although I understand our historical matchups, our focus must remain on the game itself. We must be a team that plays with passion and determination, staying true to our identity. This isn’t just another match; we have our opportunities. We know the significance of this match, but ultimately it’s sport—90 minutes of play. We will manage our emotions and maintain focus. I require all 27 players to be ready to give their all,” Silvino remarked.
