Serbia in Fukuoka with seven debutants, for the first time without a left-handed player

“Serbia in Fukuoka: Featuring Seven Debutants and No Left-Handed Players for the First Time”

The world’s strongest national team is embarking on a new planetary championship with a fresh lineup, featuring a remarkable seven debutants.

Uroš Stevanović, head coach of the Serbian national water polo team, has revealed the roster of 15 players for the upcoming World Championship in Fukuoka, where they will compete in the same group as Montenegro.

In addition to the seven newcomers, Stevanović is relying on ten players from the domestic league.

While it was anticipated that the “dolphins” would be guided by Dušan Mandic, he requested to forgo international duties this summer. This marks the first time since his entry into international play that Serbia will be without a left-handed player at a significant tournament.

The World Cup debutants include Vladimir Mišović, Vuk Milojević, Filip Janković, Đorđe Vučinić, Vasilije Martinović, Marko Dimitrijević, and Bogdan Gavrilović.

The tournament in Japan kicks off on Monday, with the match between our national team and Serbia slated for the final round of Group D—July 21 at 5 AM CET. Prior to that, Vladimir Gojković’s squad will face off against South Africa and Spain.

Goalkeepers: Branislav Mitrović (Lille) and Vladimir Mišović (Red Star). Players: Strahinja Rašović (Vašaš), Marko Radulović (Novi Belgrade), Sava Ranđelović (Vašaš), Đorđe Lazić (Breša), Vuk Milojević (Crvena zvezda), Radomir Drašović (Novi Belgrade), Nikola Jakšić (Novi Belgrade), Filip Janković (Radnički), Nemanja Ubović (Vuljagmeni), Đorđe Vučinić (New Belgrade), Vasilije Martinović (New Belgrade), Marko Dimitrijević (Partizan), Bogdan Gavrilović (Radnički).
