“Water Polo Players Propel Turkey into Semi-Finals Against Greece”
The cadet water polo team from Montenegro has successfully advanced to the medal rounds of the European Championship held in Podgorica.
Our U15 team demonstrated their status as favorites in the quarter-finals against Turkey, securing a decisive 17:3 victory and achieving four wins out of four games in the tournament. This victory solidified their excellent form after previously outperforming Hungary, Italy, and Spain in the group stage.
Under the guidance of Nenad Vukanić, the team quickly established a commanding 4:0 lead within the first six minutes. Although Turkey managed to narrow the gap to 4:2, Montenegro showcased their superiority as the match progressed.
Luka Todorović was a standout player, contributing six goals, while Stefan Kruta, Luka Savić, and Tomo Vičević each added two goals. Dario Domazetović, Petar Brnović, Stefan Vraneš, Danilo Roganović, and Andrej Durutović also chipped in with single goals.
This Saturday at 20:30, Montenegro will face Greece, who triumphed over Spain with a score of 6:x in the quarter-finals, for a chance to compete in the final.
The second semi-final will feature Serbia against Hungary, following their respective victories over Italy (8:3) and Croatia (7:x).
