On the eve of the European Championship, Montenegrin handball coach Vlado Šola has finalized the roster of 17 players heading to Munich.
Haris Suljević, the goalkeeper from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s champion team, Scouts, was the last player to be excluded from the squad.
“I’m taking two goalkeepers; unfortunately, Harris won’t be accompanying us. This decision stems from the depth we have on the right side. Both wings were unable to participate in the tournament in Poreč due to injuries. Additionally, there’s a tactical aspect to consider since the Hungarian team boasts strong pivots weighing between 120-130 kilograms. I might need Risto Vujacic in the unit position to bolster our strength where the pivots are often located,” Šola highlighted.
The “Lions” will kick off their campaign on Friday against Hungary, with Iceland and Serbia also in their Group C.
