In the opening match of the World Cup, Montenegro triumphed over South Africa with a score of 35:10. Their next opponents, the Sharks, had a “plus 25” victory against South Africa today.
The Serbian water polo team secured a decisive win against South Africa, finishing 30:5 (8:1, 9:1, 7:1, 6:2) in the second round of Group D at the championship in Fukuoka.
Uroš Stevanović’s squad established an early lead and consistently extended their advantage, marking their first victory in the tournament.
As in the game against Spain, Strahinja Rašović was the standout performer for the “dolphins,” scoring six goals, with Nikola Jakšić matching that tally. Marko Radulović added five goals, while Filip Janković found the net three times.
This Friday at 5 AM, the “sharks” will face Serbia. A win for our team would advance them from the second position in the round. Spain has already secured a direct spot in the quarterfinals with two wins in the group.
