The prevailing turmoil in the nation and the strategies of the current ruling majority are empowering certain institutions, such as the Administrative Court, to issue detrimental rulings that negatively impact both Ulcinj and Montenegro, stated Omer Bajraktari, president of the Ulcinj URE and former mayor of Ulcinj.

“The verdict from the Administrative Court defies all economic and legal reasoning and directly undermines our pathway to Europe, as Solana is pivotal in Chapter 27, which pertains to environmental protection. Without a suitable resolution for the Solana matter, we cannot progress further toward EU membership,” Bajraktari commented.

He further remarked that the Administrative Court’s decision reveals the ongoing ambition of certain individuals with questionable capital to exploit Ulcinj and Montenegro’s most precious resources at the lowest possible cost and without adherence to legal protocols.
