The Main Board (GO) of the Socialist People’s Party (SNP) convened electronically today and made the decision to dissolve the Municipal Board (OO) of SNP Herceg Novi. Additionally, they voted to remove Radisav Nikić from all party positions. The SNP reported that over 75 percent of GO members supported these decisions.
“By this action, the Municipal Board of SNP Herceg Novi has been disbanded due to the assessment that its performance has not aligned with the policies and values esteemed by the SNP CG. This was particularly evident in the recent local elections, where the SNP failed to secure parliamentary representation in this municipality for the first time,”
the statement elaborated.
“Furthermore, the Main Board declared no confidence in Radisav Nikić and removed him from all roles within the Socialist People’s Party of Montenegro for seriously breaching the democratic principles that guide the activities of the SNP CG,” the statement continued.
The statement also mentioned that Nikić disseminated unverified and false information in public forums, which compromised party officials and harmed the party’s reputation—constituting a significant violation of the party’s statute.
“The SNP remains committed to upholding internal party discipline and ensuring transparency and accountability among all members. The party will continue to take firm action against any behaviors that stray from its fundamental operational principles,” the statement concluded.
