Teacher Penalized for Allowing Students to Experiment with E-Cigarettes

The Basic Court in Veles, North Macedonia, has convicted a kindergarten teacher for allowing children to experiment with electronic cigarettes, as announced by the Veles prosecutor’s office today.
According to the announcement, following the indictment from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Veles, the court issued a first-instance ruling against the kindergarten teacher for “abuse of official position and authority.”
The teacher was found guilty of permitting children to try electronic cigarettes, resulting in a suspended sentence and an additional five-year ban on professional duties once the verdict is finalized, the Veles Prosecutor’s Office reported.
It is noted that the relevant public prosecutor has appealed this verdict.
