Žižić Returns to the Ring

Montenegrin professional boxer Milorad Žižić is set to compete on July 26th in Cologne, as announced by his headquarters.

This match marks his return to the ring after over three years, following a victory against Georgian fighter Merab Gukasini for the WBU world light heavyweight title on January 26, 2022.

Throughout his professional career, Žižić has achieved 13 wins, including seven knockouts, and has faced two losses.

He has held titles as the WBC Mediterranean Champion and the IBF Youth World Champion. Both setbacks in his career occurred in the United States during matches for the American Championship title.

The announcement revealed that Žižić dedicated five years to training in some of the world’s top boxing camps, receiving guidance from Roy Jones Jr. and Floyd Mayweather.

Žižić expressed confidence in his fitness level and enthusiasm for his return to the ring.

“I anticipate a decisive victory against Marić, a fighter from Bosnia and Herzegovina currently boxing in Germany, who is 22 years old,” Žižić shared with the MINA agency.

He noted that Saturday’s bout serves as a warm-up for his upcoming fight in Berlin on August 30 against Dane Kim Poulsen, who holds a record of 32 wins and eight losses.

“I am diligently training with coaches Jovan Todorović and Draško Radojičić, while Marko Vukotic manages my nutrition. We have plans for four more matches before the year wraps up, including one in the Octagon with boxing rules and MMA gloves or Bare Knuckle,” added Žižić.
