The national championship celebrating ten years of Street Workout and Calisthenics in Montenegro, hosted by the gymnastics club “Montenegro Street Workout” in collaboration with the Ecological Youth Association “Green Center,” attracted over 70 competitors. Contestants ranged from 12 years to those in their seventies, illustrating the sport’s inclusivity for all ages and genders. The event, held in Trebjesa Forest Park on National Day, featured five disciplines, with competitors split into two age categories: under and over 18 years old.

“This anniversary competition holds great significance for us—over the past decade, we’ve advocated for a healthy lifestyle among the youth in Montenegro while fostering a sports community that connects our heritage with our future. Calisthenics is more than a sport; it embodies discipline, resilience, and self-confidence—qualities that defined our ancestors. Through such positive sporting events, today’s youth can honor the heroes of the past and take a stand for beneficial changes in society. Nikšić served as a hub of sports energy and unity. We are particularly delighted that participants of all ages, from teenagers to veterans, joined us, highlighting the universal appeal of this sport. It was an honor to welcome special guests, Guinness record holders Uroš Ašković Ašket and Nikola Vejnović Kinez, who inspired the young athletes,” stated Miloš Džiknić, president of the gymnastics club “Montenegro Street Workout.”
