Taxi Driver Detained in Sarajevo with 100 Kilograms of Drugs

Police from the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior apprehended a taxi driver discovered with over 100 kilograms of drugs, alongside weapons and non-explosive materials.
The operation, dubbed “Taxi,” involved searches conducted in the Stari Grad municipality of Sarajevo.
According to a statement from the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, “More than two kilograms of cocaine, over four kilograms of speed, more than 80 kilograms of marijuana, over 26,000 ecstasy tablets (approximately 13.5 kg), and more than 30 liters of amphetamine oil were confiscated.”
Authorities also uncovered a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition, including two rifles, five pistols, two pistol silencers, and over 400 rounds of various calibers, along with other investigatory items of interest.
The total estimated market value of the seized narcotics exceeds one million convertible marks (around half a million euros), as announced by the Sarajevo police, who indicated that they are continuing their investigation into the matter.
