Volleyball Players Poised to Advance in Qualifications
The Montenegrin men’s senior volleyball team has kicked off preparations for the second qualifying cycle for the 2026 European Championship in Kolašin.
Following a brief hiatus after their participation in the CEV Golden League, coach Ivica Jevtić’s squad has reconvened at their usual training base, where 13 volleyball players were accounted for during the roll call.
Preparations have commenced – Technicians: Rastko Milenković, Marko Joksimović, Danilo Dubak;
Proofreaders: Đorđe Jovović, Milutin Pavicevic;
Servers: Nemanja Perunicic, Vasilije Milenkovic, Milan Rovcanin, Vukasin Cimbaljevic;
Middle blockers: Nikola Đurović, Matija Ćinćur, Dalibor Lečić;
Libero: Andrija Joksimovic.
The OSCG has announced that young players Luka Lojić, Vuk Stanojević, and Vukota Čelebić, who recently wrapped up their participation in the U19 Balkan Championship, will join the training sessions later.
Montenegro is set to play an away match against the Czech Republic on August 13th, followed by a home game against Norway four days later.
The “Reds” faced two defeats in the opening round of qualifiers—losing to Norway (3:0) on the road and to the Czech Republic (3:1) at home in Kolašin.
