An incident occurred today in the Telep neighborhood of Novi Sad during the 15-minute silence honoring the victims at the Railway Station.
As a driver attempted to avoid a crowd gathered in front of the “Cyril and Methodius” church, they collided with an individual on the access road.
The person narrowly avoided the car but made contact with it using their hand, prompting the driver to halt the vehicle and exit.
A heated exchange followed, after which the driver departed the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported that the police pursued the driver promptly, but details on subsequent events remain unclear.
The street in that area was obstructed by several citizens who joined the parents and teachers from the “Dunavski cvet” kindergarten.
Today, employees from the Clinical Center of Vojvodina participated in paying respect to the victims, forming a line along the sidewalk, as they had on previous days.
This time, community members joined in, and drivers halted their vehicles, causing a blockage on Hajduk Veljkova Street, despite the roadway remaining clear.
Additionally, the staff from the “Vilenjak” kindergarten participated in the tribute today, even amid pressures they are facing. Yesterday, students rallied on social media to express solidarity with them.
The 15-minute silence initiative was similarly supported, as in prior days, by students and faculty from the “Bogdan Šuput” High School for Design, the “Isidor Bajić” Music School, and the “Mihajlo Pupin” Electrical Engineering School, who created blockages at intersections near their respective schools.
