Podgorica is set to host the Mediterranean Championship for women’s handball under 17 from February 22 to 17, as announced by the Handball Federation.

The championship will feature 13 national teams, organized into two groups.

Group A will consist of Montenegro, Croatia, Slovakia, Tunisia, Italy, Turkey, and Kosovo.

Competing in Group B will be Serbia, Romania, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and Slovenia.

Following the group stage, placement matches are scheduled for Saturday, February 22nd.

Games will take place at the Verde Hall and the Sports and Cultural Center of the University of Montenegro.

The Montenegrin national team, coached by Miloš Perović and Bobana Krstović, views the upcoming Mediterranean Championship as a precursor to their biggest challenge this year—the European Championship, hosted in Podgorica in August.
