Real Madrid has officially confirmed the conclusion of its relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to take over as coach of the Brazil national team starting Monday.
“Real Madrid Football Club has come to an agreement with Carlo Ancelotti to conclude his tenure as head coach. Our club wishes to convey its gratitude and affection for one of the most notable legends in Real Madrid and global football,” the club stated.
Ancelotti achieved three Champions League titles, a Club World Cup, and a European Super Cup with Real Madrid, alongside two La Liga titles, a Copa del Rey, and a Spanish Super Cup.
“Carlo Ancelotti is now an everlasting part of the illustrious Real Madrid family. We take pride in having had a coach who contributed to our significant success and embodied the values of our club in an exemplary manner,” stated Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Real Madrid will honor the Italian coach for his accomplishments on Saturday during the match against Real Sociedad, which will be Ancelotti’s final game in charge of the Spanish club.
The Madrid club wishes Ancelotti and his family “all the best in this new chapter of his life.”
