Bobby Portis Suspended for 25 Games Due to One Inadvertent Pill Mistake

Milwaukee center Bobby Portis has received a suspension for utilizing prohibited substances.
The NBA has handed Portis a 25-game suspension for breaching its anti-doping regulations, as reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The Bucks currently stand fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 29-24 record. Portis is expected to return before the playoffs, with the team having 29 games remaining in the regular season.
This season, the 30-year-old center is recording an average of 13.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
Portis’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, stated that the player had consumed the drug accidentally.
“He was taking the painkiller Toradol, but due to the similarity in names, he mistakenly took Tramadol. It was a single tablet ingested by mistake, and Toradol is commonly used by athletes to alleviate inflammation and pain.”
