“Superior Quality: Our Commitment to Winning”

Mirko Marić, the head coach of the Montenegrin women’s national football team, has released the roster for the upcoming match against Lithuania in the final round of Group 4 C of the Nations League.

Montenegro is set to host the Baltic side on June 19.

Currently, Montenegro leads the group as the qualifiers draw to a close, sharing points with Azerbaijan but holding a superior goal difference. Azerbaijan will face Lithuania on May 30.

“Our main focus is to secure a victory against Lithuania; we won’t be concerned about other factors, particularly the goal difference. While it’s beneficial to know what we need in our match against Lithuania, it’s crucial that we don’t feel pressured by it. Remember, a second-place finish can still qualify us for the play-offs to enter League B. I believe we have a stronger team than Lithuania, and I trust we will prove that on the pitch. Maintaining a good level of physical fitness is vital, especially since most players have concluded their seasons, making this June date somewhat challenging,” coach Marić stated on the Federation’s website.

Marić has called up 23 players for the clash against Lithuania – goalkeepers: Anastasija Krstović (Sent Mihalj, Hungary), Ajša Kalač, Jovana Žugić (Leotar, Trebinje);

defenders: Helena Božić (Dinamo Moscow, Russia), Aleksandra Popović (Agram, Croatia), Maja Šaranović (Budućnost), Ivana Boričić (Sent Mihalji, Hungary), Jovana Sarić (Ekonomist), Andrea Janjušević (Emina, Bosnia and Herzegovina);

midfielders: Jasna Djokovic (Agram, Croatia), Jelena Karlicic, Darija Djukic (ALG Spor, Turkey), Nadja Stanovic (Slavija Prague, Czech Republic), Katarina Cadjenovic, Jelena Petrovic (Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Nadja Djurdjevac (Radnički Kragujevac, Serbia), Selma Ličina (Meppen, Germany), Sara Simonovic (Sent Mihalji, Hungary);

forwards: Armisa Kuč (Fomget, Turkey), Medina Dešić (Nuremberg, Germany), Maša Tomašević (Budućnost), Jelena Vujadinović, Tatjana Osmajić (Breznica).
