Andrija Mandić continues as the President of the Parliament of Montenegro.

In today’s parliamentary session, 20 MPs supported Mandić’s dismissal, while 41 opposed it.

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Zdenka Popović, announced the voting results.

She noted that out of 63 ballots cast, two were invalid.

Additionally, Europe Now (PES) MP Gordan Stojović stated that his ballot was inadvertently “crossed out.”

“20 MPs voted in favor of dismissing the Speaker of the Assembly, and 41 voted against,” she emphasized.

During the dismissal vote, MPs from the Bosniak Party (BS), Social Democrats (SD), Albanian Forum, as well as Miodrag Laković (PES), Drita Lola and Nikola Milović (DPS), Maja Vučelić (CIVIS), Dritan Abazović (GP URA), Mehmet Zenka (DUA), and Radinka Ćinćur (independent MP) were absent from the hall.

However, after the vote, Laković and Vučelić returned, while the head of the BS MPs’ club, Amer Smailović, made his first appearance today.

The vote took place following a debate initiated by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the Social Democrats (SD) regarding Mandić’s dismissal.
