Cadets Command Victory Over Bosnia and Herzegovina
The men’s cadet volleyball team from Montenegro achieved a dominant victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina, winning 3:0 (25:10, 25:22, 25:18) in the play-offs for 5th to 8th place at the U19 Balkan Championship.
Despite the first set being tied at 5:5, our team quickly surged ahead with an impressive 12-point streak (17:5) that even two timeouts from the home side couldn’t disrupt. The Montenegrin players comfortably secured the set, taking a 1:0 lead with a score of 25:10.
A similar pattern emerged in the second set. The “Reds” established an early lead (14:6), but the Bosnia and Herzegovina team fought back in the later stages, narrowing the difference to just two points (20:18). Nevertheless, our players kept their composure and closed out the set at 25:22, going up 2:0.
The third set saw Bosnia and Herzegovina perform their best, but it wasn’t enough to pose a real threat to Montenegro. Our national team continued to play with confidence, winning the set 25:18 and sealing the match with a well-deserved victory.
The Montenegrin team is set to compete for fifth place in the championship tomorrow against the winner of the Greece – North Macedonia match.
