Tomorrow, the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro, alongside Turkey’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, will formally sign a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation concerning transport infrastructure.
Today, Minister Maja Vukićević engaged with Turkey’s Minister of Transport, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, on the sidelines of the “Global Transport Connectivity Forum 2025” taking place in Istanbul.
The meeting, held prior to the Forum’s opening ceremony, provided a valuable opportunity for the transport ministers from both friendly nations to elaborate on avenues for enhanced collaboration.
The Ministry of Transport has confirmed that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding will occur tomorrow, with Vukićević and Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović joining Uraloglu.
“This agreement lays the groundwork for the tangible development of collaborative projects,” the statement emphasized.
Additionally, the Istanbul Forum will serve as a platform for signing an Air Transport Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which Vukićević will officiate during the event.
“The aim of this agreement is to enhance accessibility for travelers from the Middle East to Montenegro, positioning it as a premium tourist destination,” the statement noted.
The statement further highlighted that the Montenegrin delegation, led by Vukićević, is attending the forum at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Uraloglu, with the objective of fostering cooperation and sharing experiences in the transport sector.
