Lazović Unveils EHF Week Roster: Mehmedović and Božović Set for Debuts

Suzana Lazović, the head coach of the Montenegrin women’s handball team, has revealed the roster of “lionesses” for EHF Week.
The “Lions” will convene for their initial gathering in the first week of March, following their eighth-place finish at the European Championship last December.
This March meeting will also kick off preparations for the play-off against Portugal, aimed at securing a spot in the World Cup, which will take place in Germany and the Netherlands later this year. The first leg is set for April 9 in Portugal, with the return match in Podgorica three days later.
For the upcoming EHF week, coach Suzana Lazović has selected 22 players, which includes two newcomers: Mela Mehmedović from Lokomotiva Zagreb and Marija Božović from Czech club Hazena Kinžvart.
The squad for this session features 13 players who participated in the last EHF Euro 2024.
The “Lions” will conduct their training in Podgorica, with no friendly matches scheduled.
