Montenegro Stars Management and Sea Star have officially signed an Agreement for business and technical cooperation, aimed at managing the Sea Star hotel located in Rafailovići.

During the ceremony, it was announced that this agreement lays the groundwork for Montenegro Stars Management—a subsidiary of the Montenegro Stars hotel group—to assume full management of the hotel within the next six months.

The agreement was signed by Andrija Pešić, the Executive Director of Montenegro Stars hotel group, and Ana Marković, the Executive Director of Sea Star hotel.

Attending the signing ceremony was Nikola Jovanović, the President of the Municipality of Budva.

Jovanović remarked that this partnership highlights the potential of domestic management as a primary choice, rather than a fallback option.

He expressed confidence that local expertise represents a new strength in the Montenegrin hotel industry.

“It brings me immense joy to represent the Municipality of Budva at such a pivotal event—this collaboration between two hotel groups is a prime example of domestic cooperation,” Jovanović said.

He confirmed the Municipality of Budva’s commitment to supporting this and similar initiatives that facilitate regional development.

“I extend my congratulations to both companies and am pleased to see Montenegro Stars expanding its operations into new areas. The Municipality of Budva will continue to support them in future endeavors,” emphasized Jovanović.

This collaboration is part of a larger strategy for Montenegro Stars, which seeks to leverage its decades of experience in hotel management to assist other investors.

By acquiring the hotel in Rafailovići, Montenegro Stars has extended its coastal portfolio, which currently includes three hotels, the most prominent being the Splendid hotel.

“This marks the third facility under our management, reaffirming that local expertise is being recognized as a viable alternative to international brands. Our business model demonstrates that proficiency, a structured approach, and a deep understanding of the local market can originate from within, gradually transforming the landscape of the Montenegrin economy. Our collaboration with Sea Star will be progressive yet thorough, with a clear aim to elevate the hotel’s operational and service standards,” stated Dušan Radulović, Executive Director of Montenegro Stars Hotel Group, following the signing agreement.

Ana Marković, Executive Director of Sea Star Hotel, mentioned that their choice of partner was clear-cut.

“We sought a reliable partner with the experience and resources necessary for our growth. Montenegro Stars has been successfully developing and enacting strategies for enhancement and has bolstered the destination’s reputation for over 22 years. They were the obvious choice for us. We are confident that partnering with Montenegro Stars Management will enhance all aspects of Sea Star hotel’s operations and establish it as a new benchmark in coastal tourism,” she commented.

The Sea Star hotel, categorized as a five-star facility, opened its doors in April 2024 and currently employs 65 staff members. It offers 99 luxuriously furnished accommodations and provides guests with access to an indoor swimming pool and a beach area, which is also available to the public for a fee. Additionally, the hotel features an exclusive Italian restaurant, with plans to add a rooftop dining venue in the future.
