Montenegrin Handball Team Competes at the Mediterranean Championship in Tunisia
Tunisia is set to host the Mediterranean Handball Championship for players under 17 starting Monday, with the Montenegrin national team among the competitors, as announced by the Handball Federation.
A total of 11 national teams will participate, organized into two groups.
The Montenegrin national team will compete against Kuwait, Greece, Croatia, Tunisia, and Italy.
The roster for Montenegro includes 16 players born in 2008 and 2009.
The team will feature goalkeepers – Balša Todorović and Nikola Miljić;
Pivots – Ognjen Pejaković and Luka Todorović;
Wings – Ivan Nikčević, Luka Kaluđerović, and Andrej Spalević;
Backs – Matija Kapičić, Nemanja Batuta, Danilo Gutic, Petar Vujović, Mihailo Jovićević, Nikola Potpara, Miloš Tujković, Nikola Labudović, and Oleg Šćekić.
The coaching staff will be led by Miloš Vulićević and Vuk Kaluđerović.
The first match will be against Kuwait on Monday at 14:30.
The initial four days of the tournament will focus on the group stage, followed by placement matches on Friday and Saturday.
Draško Mrvaljević is the coordinator for the younger men’s selections, with coaches Miloš Vulićević and Vuk Kaluđerović overseeing this generation. Suad Skenderović serves as the goalkeeper coach, and the team physiotherapist is Goran Pavlović.
