Serbian Citizen Arrested After Marijuana and Vehicle with Warrant Seized at Border Crossings

Law enforcement officials confiscated a vehicle belonging to a French national on Germany’s international wanted list, along with a small quantity of marijuana from a Serbian national at border crossings, as reported by the Police Directorate (UP) today.
According to the statement, during checks at the Vraćenovići – Deleuša border crossing while exiting Montenegro, officers inspected one N.Đ. (34), a Serbian citizen, and his vehicle. During a subsequent detailed inspection at the second line of border checks, a PVC bag containing green plant matter that resembled marijuana was discovered.
The UP reported that N.D. was arrested for violations of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse and the Law on Road Traffic Safety. The misdemeanor judge imposed a fine of 950 euros on him.
Furthermore, the inspector for foreigners revoked N.D.’s residence permit for up to 90 days and issued an entry ban into Montenegro for one year, according to the UP’s statement.
Additionally, at the Dobrakovo border crossing, police conducted a check on French citizen DD (50) and the Mercedes vehicle he was operating. It was revealed that the vehicle was on the international wanted list by the NCB Interpol of Germany, leading to its temporary seizure and subsequent transfer to the Bijelo Polje Security Department for further action.
