“Ten Transfer Targets Premier League Clubs Might Pursue Across Europe”

Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City are gearing up for a summer of potential signings…

Victor Djekeres, Sporting Lisbon

Dzekeres has been a hot topic in recent transfer windows concerning a return to England. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have all shown interest in the Swedish striker, who has netted 38 goals in the Portuguese league this season—an impressive 20 more than his closest competitor. While Sporting is hesitant to let go of their star player, the former Brighton and Coventry striker looks perfectly equipped for the Premier League’s demands. This summer may well be the pivotal moment for his exit from Lisbon.

Benjamin Šeško, RB Leipzig

Sesko was associated with a move to Arsenal last summer but opted to extend his contract with RB Leipzig instead. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a solid season in Germany, scoring 13 goals and assisting five, despite Leipzig’s less-than-stellar performance. His expected goals against (xG) ratio of 2.78 ranks among the highest in the Bundesliga, and his penchant for the spectacular keeps him on the watchlist of Premier League clubs.

Ugo Ekitike, Eintracht Frankfurt

Ekitike is not the only Bundesliga forward potentially heading to a Premier League giant. Eintracht Frankfurt is likely to face challenges retaining their two most valuable strikers, especially after Omar Marmuš’s transfer to Manchester City in January. Although the 22-year-old Ekitike’s game has some flaws—his xG minus of 6.80 being the highest in the German top flight—his immense potential is notable. His playing style closely resembles that of Alexander Isak, making him a more budget-friendly alternative to the sought-after Swede.

Diogo Kosta, Porto

This season has been disappointing for Porto, who find themselves 11 points adrift of the top as the season concludes. However, they boast one of the league’s best defensive records, conceding just 30 goals in 33 matches. Much credit goes to their goalkeeper, who has kept 15 clean sheets—more than any other goalie in the Portuguese First Division this season. With an impressive pass completion rate of 81.3%, it’s unsurprising that he has caught the eye of Manchester City.

Joan Garcia, Espanyol

Garcia, another goalkeeper, was previously on Arsenal’s radar last summer, but a transfer didn’t materialize. He has had a fantastic season once again, making 135 saves—the most by any keeper in La Liga. Espanyol currently sits 14th in the table, looking likely to avoid relegation chiefly due to his stellar performances. Manchester United is said to be interested in the 24-year-old, with Aston Villa, Arsenal, and Bournemouth also reportedly in the mix.

Jamie Gittens, Borussia Dortmund

Following in Jadon Sancho’s footsteps, Gittens left Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund, and a return to England seems likely this summer. Though he has been seen as a regular in the rotation rather than a starter, the 20-year-old has made a mark this season. Only Florian Wirz (81) has successfully completed more dribbles than Gittens (77) in the Bundesliga this year, prompting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham.

Rodrigo, Real Madrid

As Real Madrid appears set to revamp their roster, it looks increasingly likely they will sell Rodrygo this summer, aiming to capitalize on one of their top assets after a lackluster season. The 24-year-old is not assured a first-team position at Madrid, with injuries and Kylian Mbappe’s arrival limiting him to 22 league appearances. Manchester City, who initiated their squad overhaul in January, have been linked with Rodrygo, who has contributed six goals and five assists for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in La Liga.

Ryan Cherki, Lyon

Given his buyout clause of merely £25m, interest in Lyon’s winger Cherki is hardly surprising. The French talent was rumored to be heading to Borussia Dortmund in January but chose to stay in France. At 21, he is unlikely to still be with Lyon come the start of the new season, particularly if they miss out on European qualification. Both Liverpool and Manchester United have been associated with the young striker, who leads Ligue 1 this season in accurate passes through the middle (13), big chances created (21), and assists (10), while ranking third in key passes (70). His services will likely attract significant competition.

Martin Zubimendi, Real Sociedad

Liverpool made a move for Zubimendi last summer, but he opted to remain with Real Sociedad, a choice that benefited Liverpool as Ryan Gravenberch has flourished under Arne Slot’s guidance. Zubimendi continues to be a wanted player in England, with Arsenal reportedly ready to snap up the 26-year-old midfielder for €60m. Jorginho is expected to join Flamengo, and with Tomas Partey’s contract nearing expiry, Mikel Arteta is in need of midfield reinforcements.

Angelo Stiller, Stuttgart

Liverpool aims to add another midfielder to maintain their Premier League title chase, with Stiller presenting a tactically flexible and cost-effective alternative to Zubimendi. The 24-year-old has been pivotal for Stuttgart in recent years, earning a national team call-up. Although he signed a new contract earlier this year, securing Stiller would require a sizable investment, yet he could alleviate pressure on both Gravenberch and Alexis McAllister.
