N1 television reporter Ksenija Pavkov, reporting live from Sremska Mitrovica on the preparations for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) rally in honor of Serbian Statehood Day – Sretenje, shared that several attendees have hurled insults at them and even issued threats.

“It’s quite uncomfortable to be here in the middle of Sremska Mitrovica with the N1 microphone. This will be the last broadcast featuring the N1 logo on my microphone. People have been approaching and insulting us. Just a moment ago, a man approached me and said he couldn’t wait for all of us to be killed, insisting we should go to Republika Srpska to find out what will happen,” she stated during a live segment on the television channel.

She also noted that numerous buses with license plates from various cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina are arriving in Sremska Mitrovica.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who arrived by train to Sremska Mitrovica, previously announced in Banja Luka that the Declaration on Vojvodina would be ratified at the rally by “popular acclamation,” and later, with the consent of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, presented in the Serbian Parliament.

Meanwhile, students from all state universities are participating in a rally in Kragujevac titled “Let’s Meet at Sretenje” in honor of Serbian Statehood Day, while a concurrent event led by President Vučić is taking place in Sremska Mitrovica, also named “Let’s Meet at Sretenje.”
