The Wolves Suffer Their First Defeat in the WABA League

The women’s basketball team of Budućnost Bemax suffered a defeat against Cinkarna Celje, with a final score of 76:67, during the 16th round of the WABA League.
This loss marked the end of their impressive streak of 13 consecutive victories in Celje and was their first defeat of the season.
The defending champions secured the top position in the standings with a margin of nine points.
After the first two quarters ended in a draw, the home team established a crucial lead in the third quarter, ending it at 60:51 heading into the final ten minutes.
With just two and a half minutes remaining, they trailed by three points (70:67), but allowed their opponents to execute a 6:0 run to achieve their desired lead.
Tajna Silva was the standout player for the winning team, scoring 25 points, while Blaža Čeh contributed 18 points.
For the Podgorica side, the top performers were Zorana Radonjić with 17 points and Katherine Briggs with 16 points, alongside Tess Admunsen who scored ten points.
