Montenegrin basketball expert Zoran Kašćelan has parted ways with Bosna, as announced by the Sarajevo club.
The contract between Bosna and Kašćelan was mutually terminated following an unexpected defeat to Orlovik in the domestic league (90:80).
“With the friendly termination of his contract, Zoran Kašćelan is stepping down as coach of KK Bosna. His commitment, knowledge, and love for basketball will leave a lasting impact on every team he has coached. Zoran has played a vital role in the team’s development, and his vision will be instrumental for the club’s future. KK Bosna expresses gratitude for his contributions to the club and Sarajevo basketball. We wish him great success in his upcoming ventures,” stated Bosna.
Kašćelan led the Bosnian championship with a current record of 17-2 this season. The Sarajevo team has secured three additional victories and has one more match than second-placed Široki.
This season, Bosna also reached the final of the BiH Cup, where they faced defeat against Igokea, and qualified for the second phase of the NLB ABA2 League. They currently hold a 1-1 record in the regional competition and are set to host Podgorica in the next round on Wednesday.
For the remainder of the season, Bosna will be guided by sports director Aleksandar Damjanović.
