Members of the Military Police Company and the Military Medical Center of the Army of Montenegro (AVCG) took part in the international exercise “Platinum Wolf 25” in Serbia, which featured around 700 personnel from 11 countries.

According to the Montenegrin Ministry of Defense (MOD), the exercise was organized by the Serbian Armed Forces with support from the United States European Command (US).

“The event gathered approximately 700 armed forces members from Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, the USA, the United Kingdom, and the host country,” the announcement stated.

The “Platinum Wolf” exercise serves as a platform for experience exchange, enhancing interoperability, and strengthening cooperation among allied and partner nations.

The MOD noted that throughout the exercise, held at the “Jug” base, the “Borovac” training range, and the “Vrtogoš” shooting range, participants practiced various tactics, techniques, and procedures utilized in peacekeeping missions.

“Activities included base and convoy security, patrolling, terrain blocking and searching, as well as execution of combat operations in urban settings,” the MOD commented.

Additionally, medical personnel from the Armed Forces of Montenegro, as part of the multinational Balkan Medical Task Force (BMTF), practiced providing aid to the injured on the battlefield and in natural disasters to enhance interoperability, aiming for operational capabilities needed for the upcoming hospital certification planned for October.

“A sports day was also held during the exercise, with soldiers from 11 nations competing in various sports disciplines, where members of the Military Police Company secured the first place in basketball,” the announcement highlighted.

The international exercise “Platinum Wolf” has been conducted since 2014, with representatives of the Armed Forces of Montenegro participating for the fourth time.
