Police found an illegally possessed gun and ammunition near Bjelopoljac

Police Discover Illegally Held Firearm and Ammunition Near Bjelopoljac

During a search of the residence and other locations linked to MJ (62) from Bijelo Polje, authorities discovered a CZ pistol that was possessed illegally, along with 76 rounds of 7.62 mm automatic rifle ammunition, 15 rounds of 7.9 mm rifle ammunition, and 14 rounds of 9 mm pistol ammunition, as reported by the Police Directorate (UP) today.

The prosecutor from the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje has been notified of the situation and has mandated that the ammunition undergo a thorough expert examination. Additionally, criminal charges are set to be filed against MJ for allegedly committing the offense of illegal possession and carrying of weapons and explosives. A request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings under the Law on Weapons has also been submitted against him, according to the UP statement.
