The conclusion of the Slovenian Cup final saw Celje overpower Koper 4:0, but it was the ensuing brawl that grabbed headlines.
As Celje scored their fourth goal, pandemonium broke out.
The skirmish began when Frank Sidive confronted Tamara Svetlin, knocking him down without provocation.
Players from both sides rushed in, leading to chaos, particularly with Felipe Kursio from Koper, who notably received a red card.
The Brazilian player clashed with Celta’s coach Alberto Riero, renowned for his stints at Espanyol, Liverpool, Olympiacos, and Galatasaray.
In the final moments, Riero’s frustration boiled over as he charged towards the opposing bench, aiming to confront coach Slaviša Stojanović, previously of Red Star.
Luckily, this situation was de-escalated in time.
