Serbian Citizens Suspected of Plotting Kotor Woman’s Murder to Be Held in Pretrial Detention for Up to 30 Days

Three Serbian nationals, Miljan Jovanović, Aleksandar Stefanović, and Dušan Trkulja, have been detained in Spuž Remand Prison following the decision of investigative judge Špiro Pavićević at the Basic Court in Kotor.
Judge Veljko Bulatović, spokesperson for the court, revealed to “Vijesti” that they are being held in custody for a maximum of 30 days due to the potential risks of flight and the possibility of reoffending.
According to the Police Directorate, the trio was allegedly plotting the murder of a Kotor resident, believed to be from Macedonia, on the instructions of Danijela Banićević from Nikšić.
Official reports indicate they intended to carry out the crime using various implements, including a wooden bat and a hammer.
Sources tell Vijesti that of the three detained individuals, two are employed as butchers, while one is a carpenter.
A contact for Vijesti pointed out that evidence gathered during the investigation suggests they arrived in Kotor with the intent to commit a serious crime.
