Bayern Munich supporters honored Thomas Müller today in anticipation of his last home game with the team.
Behind one goal at the Allianz Arena, a massive red and white flag featuring Müller’s likeness and his name prominently displayed was unveiled, accompanied by a banner proclaiming: “25 years, everything for our colors.”
The 35-year-old Müller was also presented with a special gift—a framed picture featuring all the trophies he won while wearing the Munich giant’s jersey.
“Let us play,” Müller exclaimed as he approached the sideline, holding the picture and a bouquet of flowers.
Bayern, who clinched the German championship title last weekend, triumphed over Borussia Mönchengladbach with a score of 2-0 today.
The goals came from Harry Kane in the 31st minute, with an assist from Michael Oliseh in the 90th minute on the first goal.
Kane secured the first trophy of his career, while Müller boasts an impressive 13 German championship titles.
