Raid in Nikšić: Kovačević Arrested with Cocaine, Vojinović Found with Knife and Pepper Spray

Last night, Nikšić police conducted a raid on multiple catering establishments in the city, leading to the arrest of Aleksandar Kovačević (47), who was found in possession of cocaine, according to an announcement from the Police Directorate.
The operation was carried out by officers from the Nikšić Security Department between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m., with the assistance of the Special Police Unit.
“During this operation, one suspect was apprehended, a misdemeanor charge was filed for drug-related offenses, and various items including cocaine, a knife, an irritant spray, flares, and a taser were confiscated,” the statement detailed.
The police reported that their officers had checked 500 individuals, with ten being of operational interest.
“While controlling one of the suspects, AK, a small PVC packet containing substances resembling cocaine was found, leading to AK’s arrest under the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse,” the statement elaborated.
During the search of another operational interest individual, Ivan Vojinović (42), items suited for an attack, including a knife and an irritant spray, were discovered and seized.
Additionally, 16 flares, a marijuana grinder, and a taser were identified in the restaurants where these individuals were located.
“A further inspection of the establishments revealed two discarded PVC packages containing substances resembling cocaine, which will undergo forensic analysis,” the statement concluded.
