Georgian Citizen Arrested on Suspicion of Stealing €1,000 and Gifts from Vehicle of Podgorica Woman

The police in Podgorica have apprehended a Georgian citizen, ST (26), on suspicion of stealing 1,000 euros and gifts from a car, as announced by the Police Directorate (UP) today.
According to their statement, the Podgorica police acted on a report from a local resident who discovered that two bags, containing two envelopes with a total of 1,000 euros and gifts, were missing from her vehicle.
“It is believed that on May 3, 2025, ST accessed a vehicle parked in central Podgorica and, using the vehicle’s unlocking mechanism, stole the aforementioned money and gifts. The suspect will be forwarded to the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica along with a criminal report, on suspicion of committing the crime of theft,” the UP statement noted.
