An attempted murder in central Podgorica today, occurring in broad daylight, further underscores the lack of safety and security for citizens within the current security sector, stated Jevto Eraković, Vice President of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).

“What needs to happen for someone from this system to be held accountable and resign? Are office positions more important than the safety of the citizens?” Eraković commented on the social media platform X.

Igor Nedović, a resident of Podgorica, was shot today in a bar located in the Siti Kvart neighborhood.

Nedović has associations with the Kavača criminal clan.

The Police Directorate reported that at 13:30 today, the Podgorica Security Department received a notification that a firearm had been discharged against an individual in a catering establishment in the City Quarter.
