Budva Police Arrest Podgorica Driver Testing Positive for Six Psychoactive Substances

Today, Budva police apprehended MM (44) from Podgorica for driving while under the influence of drugs. According to police reports to “Vijesti,” he tested positive for six different psychoactive substances.
The Police Department announced on the X network that it was confirmed he was driving under the influence of cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, benzodiazepines, opiates, and buprenorphine.
Later in the afternoon, police arrested MM (37) from Podgorica, found driving on the Budva – Cetinje road while under the influence of cocaine.
“Both drivers were presented to the Budva Misdemeanor Court within the legally required timeframe,” Vijesti reported.
As part of enhanced checks on drivers for alcohol and drug use, Budva police arrested three drivers yesterday; two were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol with blood alcohol concentrations exceeding two per mille.
TR (57) from Budva was arrested for having a blood alcohol level of 2.11 per mille, while VM (37) from Cetinje had a concentration of 2.05 per mille.
“These drivers each received a 15-day prison sentence and a protective measure of a 4-month driving ban,” announced Vijesti.
During the night, a Turkish citizen, CTH (42), was also checked and found to be driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.11 g/kg.
In an expedited process, he faced a fine of 475 euros and a 3-month driving ban.
