Police Confiscate Pistol, Carbine, Rifle, and 335 Rounds of Ammunition from Nikšić Resident

The police in Nikšić confiscated three firearms and 47 rounds of ammunition from DS (335) following a search of his residence and other locations he frequents.
“Officers from the Regional Security Center ‘West’ – Nikšić Security Department, as part of their planned operations, intensified efforts to locate illegally held weapons. Yesterday, in the municipality of Nikšić, they discovered and seized three firearms along with 335 rounds of ammunition from an individual.
“Acting under a previously obtained court order, law enforcement searched the residence and two additional locations associated with DS (47) from Nikšić, during which they found and confiscated undocumented firearms: a Zastava M-57 pistol, a Crvena Zastava hunting carbine equipped with an optical sight, a Baikal IŽ hunting rifle, as well as several weapon parts, 335 rounds of various types and calibers, one pistol frame, and two magazines,” stated the Police Directorate in an announcement.
It has also been noted that the state prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Nikšić has been informed about these developments.
“The police will persist in their efforts to locate and confiscate firearms, ammunition, and explosives held illegally by citizens, all aimed at curbing criminal activities and reducing crime rates,” the statement concludes.
