The European House has announced its third birthday celebration, engaging the youngest participants in an exciting journey across the European Union (EU) and debuting the second edition of the comic book “Super Zvjezdana,” developed in collaboration with the embassies of member states under the “Team Europe” initiative.

According to the statement, approximately 50 students from the “Vuko Jovović” Elementary School in Danilovgrad embarked on a unique educational adventure at a mini fair showcasing EU member states. The event featured embassies from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Romania, and Slovenia, where children learned fascinating facts about the various cultures, languages, and traditions.

Saša Pailbrk from the European House remarked, “Super Zvjezdana is our approach to making EU values accessible to children through engaging stories and familiar characters. The excitement displayed by the children today reflects our shared learning and growth.

“I enjoyed Super Zvjezdana the most because it educates others, and the comic is really entertaining—I can’t wait to explore all the adventures,” said a girl named Jana Babić, a participant at the event.

The European House noted that the children were among the first recipients of their own copies of the comic, and they had the chance to meet the comic artist Ilija Nikčević, who animated Super Zvjezdana’s new adventures through his illustrations.

“The adventure of Super Zvjezdana, Tara, and the Owl is fantastic and magical. My task of illustrating it was a real adventure. While drawing Zvjezdana could be viewed as work, I see it as an opportunity and a privilege to be part of her Super Team,” shared Nikčević.

According to the European House, through characters like Tara, the wise Owl, and the heroine Super Zvjezdana—who embodies EU values—children are creatively and enjoyably introduced to concepts such as solidarity, tolerance, knowledge, unity, and the rich diversity that the EU celebrates.

“At the program’s conclusion, the children enjoyed a performance of ‘Super Zvjezdana,’ which was adapted by actress Sanja Popović from the comic book script. The children were also pleasantly surprised by juices donated by the ‘Naše voće’ juice factory, an IPARD beneficiary, in celebration of the European House’s birthday,” stated the announcement.
