Charges Filed Against Three Minors for Attacking and Robbing Foreigner in Podgorica
Authorities in Podgorica have identified three minors suspected of assaulting an individual on May 12th and stealing approximately 1,650 euros, along with a mobile phone, travel insurance, and three bank cards.
The Police Directorate reported that they swiftly addressed the robbery involving a foreign national.
“Following the receipt of the report, police officers conducted a criminal investigation and implemented operational measures, successfully identifying three minors from Podgorica, aged 15, 16, and 17, accused of committing the said criminal act. It is believed that on the evening of May 12, 2025, in downtown Podgorica, they physically assaulted the victim and stole roughly 1,650 euros, a mobile phone, travel insurance, and three bank cards,” the official statement indicates.
Among the stolen items, law enforcement recovered a mobile phone and bank cards at two different locations in Podgorica, which will be returned to the rightful owner.
“The state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has been notified of the situation, and under their directive, criminal charges have been filed against the minors on suspicion of committing robbery,” the statement added..
