Marković Reveals Junior Roster for European Championship
The Montenegrin junior women’s handball team will convene on Thursday to commence their preparations for the European Women’s U19 Championship, taking place in Podgorica from July 9 to 20.
Under the guidance of Coach Igor Marković, a roster of 21 handball players has been selected to vie for a position on the team as they compete among the 24 top European teams.
The invited goalkeepers are Teodora Rončević, Vanja Živković, and Lucija Jovanović;
Wings include Sanja Andrijašević, Bojana Peličić, Mia Grujić, Ana Banović, and Staša Mandić;
Pivots are Anđela Guberinić, Ksenija Gašević, Mina Petrović, and Petra Deković;
Backs include Elena Mitrović, Natalija Lekić, Milka Pavlović, Maja Ceklić, Hanadi Delić, Nikolina Milojković, Kristina Ivanović, Danijela Bajović, and Patricija Luković.
Coach Marković’s staff comprises assistant coach Draško Kaluđerović and goalkeeping coach Sonja Barjaktarović.
Montenegro will be placed in Group B during the European Championship, facing off against Denmark, Iceland, and Lithuania.
The top two teams will advance to the main round.
